Obituary for Harold Leon Cooper

Harold Leon  Cooper
Harold L. Cooper, 93, of Winchester, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
Mr. Cooper was born December 19, 1924 in Winchester, VA; the son of Richard A. Cooper and Lela Luttrell Cooper. He was a proud apple farmer and owner of Valley Stream Farm. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Good Samaritan Class. He married Reba O. Dellinger on December 19, 1945 in Winchester.
Along with his wife of 72 years, he is survived by his grandchildren, Richard Cooper and his wife Victoria of Front Royal and Katie Cooper and her fiancé Kevin Welsh of Front Royal; and three great grandchildren, Joshua Welsh, Aleeya Cooper, and Adallen Cooper. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry L. Cooper and a brother, Richard L. Cooper.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. William White officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Howard Hollar, Donnie Hollar, Richard Cooper, Phillip Cooper, Steve Vaughn, and Sid Rudolph. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Burcham, Bobby Dick, Kevin Welsh, and Matt Collins.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 308 N. Braddock St., Winchester, VA 22601.
