Simply a Fun and Loving Guy

Rodney, my brother-in-law was simply a fun loving guy. His giving heart was filled with kindness. I’ve spent this last week remembering the good old days of chasing fire trucks in the middle of the night, mud bogging in the potato patch — and who knows where else, to being pulled in the snow on a car hood on the back roads of Loudoun county after a snowfall, not to mention the steak and potato dinners (Slim Jims and potato chips). I’ll will always cherish those fond memories of yesterday. And who knew he was a poet? Just last year he wrote me a poem, it goes like this, “Our friendship grows, yet stays the same, for sister-in-law you became. Yet you are so much more, for you became a sister I adore.” It touches my heart every time I read it. God bless you Rodney, I hope you’re at peace now and having coffee with Grandma.

Love,

Donna
