Obituary for Rodney Allen Taylor
Rodney A. Taylor, 65, of Winchester, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Mr. Taylor was born December 12, 1951 in Radford, VA; the son of Clarence Allen Taylor and Arlene Clyde Smith Hopkins. He served in the U.S. Army. He was an automotive technician for many years before becoming a professional driver with Superior Paving in Leesburg.
He married Susan Wright on January 1, 1972 in Herndon, VA.
Along with his wife, Susan Taylor, he is survived by his mother, Arlene Hopkins and his step father Donald Hopkins; three daughters, Cheryl Maggard and her husband, Denny of Winchester, Jennifer Childs of Winchester and Ashley Huerta and her husband Dan of Stephens City; a sister Barbara Taylor Anderson and her husband Gene of Ranson, WV; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
