Delores M. “Toots” Arnold, 86, of Winchester, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018 after a 6 year battle with dementia.
Mrs. Arnold was born January 21, 1932; the daughter of the late Grant Filip Moats and Theodosia Mae Lewis Moats. She retired from Winchester Medical Center. She married Wiley “Walley” Arnold on December 28, 1967.
She is survived by her children, Judith E. Evans-Lambert (Frankie) of Winchester, VA, Theodosia D. Dellinger of Martinsburg, WV, Nora Susie Clark (Author) and Marie Beeler (Boyd) both of Winchester, VA; two sisters, Betty Tennant of Morgantown, WV and Hilda Moats of WV; two brothers, Leslie Walter Moats of Terra Alta, WV and Kenneth Moats of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 32 Great grandchildren and 12 Great great grandchildren
Along with her parents Delores was preceded in death by first husband, Arnold Tenney, and her second husband, Wiley Arnold; a son, Edward L. Moats; four brothers, Israel June Moats, James Moats, Harry Moats, and Wayne Moats, three sisters, Gwendlyn Opal Tenney, Velma Sisler, and Loretta Hiser; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday August 22, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Reverend Dr. Ken H. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Hebron Cemetery.
