Stella Virginia Baylis, 91, of Toms Brook, VA passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Baylis was born on May 24, 1925, in Shenandoah County VA; the daughter of the late Clarence and May Summerville Stokes. She married Joseph Franklin Baylis, January 22, 1955 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death 26 years ago. She worked with her husband, helping him with his real estate business. She was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion.

Stella is survived by her son, J. Frank Baylis and his partner Josh Butler of Toms Brook; daughter, Judy Baylis Stine of Winchester, granddaughter Tammy Jo Kerns of Winchester; great grandson, Derek Brock Kerns and his wife Amy of Winchester; great great granddaughter Sophia Kerns and brother, John Stokes of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by Wanda Rinker, Mary Ponn, and Al Rinker, whom she loved as her own.

Along with her husband she is preceded in death by twelve siblings.

Services will be private at a later date.
