Obituary for Judy Marie Peer
Judy Marie Peer, 59, died Sunday, November, 6, 2016 at Blue Ridge Hospice In Patient Care Center in Winchester, VA.
She was born March 15, 1957 in Winchester; the daughter of Tommy D. and Marie Adams Lockhart. She was a member of Eagles Aerie # 824, Berryville Moose Lodge # 2139, and VFW Post 3522 Charlestown, WV.
Judy is survived by two children, Richard Thomas Peer and wife, Melissa of Frederick County, VA and Genevieve Marie Funk–Whetzel and husband, Ernie, of Winchester; brothers, Beverly Lockhart of Shacklefords, VA, Tommy D. Lockhart, Jr. of Monroe, NC and John David Lockhart, of Augusta, WV; a sister, Patricia Underwood of Frederick County and grandchildren, Tommy Lee Funk, Hunter Whetzel, Sarah Peer, Isabel Peer and Richard Allen Peer.
She is predeceased by her companion of 35 years Dennis Funk; a daughter, Betty Jean Funk, and a brother, James Harrison Lockhart.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, VA. A funeral will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Jones Funeral Home with Pastor C. Steve Melester officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Carl Lee Funk, Jerry Taylor, Sr., Ernest Lee Whetzel, Daniel Carbaugh, Tony Lake, and David Eugene Funk, Sr.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
