Obituary for Evelyn Lucille Longerbeam (Ruffner)
Evelyn Lucille Longerbeam, 71, of Winchester, VA, died Wednesday, September, 28, 2016 at her residence.
She was born October 29, 1944 in Clarke County, VA; the daughter of the late Owen Osborne Ruffner, Sr. and Lucille Bertha Boersig Ruffner.
She was a member of Leesburg Church of God.
Evelyn married Phillip P. Longerbeam on August 30, 1974 in Boyce, VA.
Along with her husband, Phillip, Evelyn is survived by daughter, Debbie Cummings; son, Donald Cummings (Coreen), all of Gore, VA; six brothers, Louis Ruffner (Ellen Mae), Kenneth Ruffner, Sr. (Diana), James Ruffner (Shirley), Raymond Ruffner (Karen), and Thomas Ruffner (Treasa), all of West Virginia, Robert Ruffner, Sr. (Jackie), of Boyce, VA; sister, Karen Baldridge of West Virginia; and five grandchildren, Holly Nichols, Donald Cummings Jr., Dwayne Cummings, Angel Cummings and Tiffany Little.
Mrs. Longerbeam is preceded in death by son, Mike Cummings and five siblings, Catherine Pickel, Owen “Harvey” Ruffner, Jr., Clara Anne Milbourne, Doris Manuel and Richard Ruffner, Sr.
Funeral services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to South End Fire Dept. 17 W. Monmouth Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
