Charlie Cooper is one of our Funeral Service Associates. He has been with us since May of 1987. Charlie was born in Gore, Virginia, and raised in Frederick and Shenandoah Counties. He served as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy and is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for the U.S. Government for over 30 years until his retirement in 1985 from the Sanitation Department on Mt. Weather. Charlie is a member of Round Hill United Methodist Church, the Winchester, Frederick County Conservation Club, and Winchester Moose Lodge No. 1283. He enjoys hunting and watching baseball and football. Charlie lives in Winchester and has two grown children, a son, Steven, and a daughter, Teresa. His wife, Ruby, is deceased.
