Emma Louise Owens, 97, of Bunker Hill, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at a nursing home facility in Charlestown, WV.

Louise was born on September 7, 1918 in Martinsburg, WV; the daughter of Graham and Eva Cammer Cooper. She was a graduate of Handley High School Class of 1937 and was the 2nd oldest member of Kernstown United Methodist Church.

She married Richard Byrd Owens on August 1, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death.

Surviving her are her children, Donna Owens Schiller of Lehigh Acres, FL, Vicki Owens of Martinsburg and Sherri Owens Sisk of Bunker Hill; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Along with her husband she was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Cooper Sutton.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Fitch officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Spaid, Art Sisk, Ricky McKinney, Duane Kerns, David Owens and John C. Schiller, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Owens, Todd Kaczenski and Samantha Sisk.
