Obituary for William Key "Bill" Creveling

William Key “Bill” Creveling, 84, of Woodstock, VA passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Care Center, Winchester.
Bill was born December 21, 1934 in Washington, D.C.; the son of the late William Aloysius Creveling, Jr. and Mary Roby Creveling.
He served in the US Marine Corp. as a Sergeant during the Korean War. During his service he received the National Defense Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Expert Rifleman Designation. Bill enjoyed a 38 year career as an insurance investigator for Equifax Inc. until his retirement.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Roberts (Randy) of Verona, VA, Mary Ellen Gordon (Jesse) of Arlington, TX, and a son, William Roby Creveling (Dena) of Stephens City, VA; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; one brother, John Creveling of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and two sisters, Margaret Hougasian of Clermont, FL and Ellen DeSarno of Harrisonburg, VA.
Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Creveling and Patricia Reed.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Rev. Michel Mayton officiating. A reception will follow at the George Washington Hotel Garden Room. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
