Nancy Lee Carper, 75, of Winchester, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
Miss Carper was born May 10, 1943 in Frederick County; the daughter of the late Strother “Tom” Carper and Gladys Carper.
She was a 1961 graduate of James Wood High School, a 1964 graduate of Winchester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and a 1970 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia. She worked as a registered nurse at Winchester Memorial Hospital, as an instructor in the Clarke-Frederick-Warren-Winchester School of Practical Nursing and then as an instructor of health occupations at Dowell J. Howard Vocational Center.
She was a member of Second Opequon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her nephews, Dennis Ruckman, Thomas Ruckman (Mindi), Robert Ruckman (Barbara); brother in law, Charles Ruckman; and close friend, Dorothy Clark. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret “Peggy” Carper Ruckman.
A service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 9:30 a.m at Second Opequon Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ron Obenchain officiating. Burial will be private.
