Ellen Frances Kinard, 74, of Winchester, VA passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on December 17, 1943 in Oakland, CA; the daughter of Sanford A. and Mable Ross Pittenger. She married Arthur H. Kinard on June 18, 1990 in Carroll County, MD. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Along with her husband, Arthur, Ellen is survived by nine children, Robert Luckenbaugh, Jr. (Allison) of Hanover, PA, Mark Luckenbaugh of Gettysburg, PA, Annette “Ann” Sumpman (Jeffrey) of Winchester, Patrick Luckenbaugh (Sandee), of Orrtanna, PA, David Luckenbaugh (Eva) of New Oxford, PA, Tabbie Kinard of Freemont, NE, John Kinard of North Dakota, Donna Cameron (William) of Texas, and Shiela Finfinis (Johnathan) of Poughkeepsie, NY; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Two sisters, Shirley Pierce and Louise Pittenger, and a brother, Martin Pittenger, preceded her in death.
There will be visitation on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm with Bishop Jason Wright officiating. There will be a second visitation on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Etzweiler Funeral Home in York, PA followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm with Pastor John Bell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery in York, PA.
