Lambert Joseph Brown, Sr., “Brownie”, 87, of Middletown, died Friday, October 5, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Brown was born December 5, 1930 in Morgan, Missouri; the son of the late Elmer and Nora Busker Brown. He served in the US Air Force. He was a self- employed flight instructor. Mr. Brown was a member of AOPA Air Safety Foundation, Missouri Auctioneer School and Virginia Wing Civil Air Patrol. He had a Master of Science in Aviation Technology from Columbia State University and Doctorate Degree in Psychology in Aviation from Stamford Hill University.
Lambert married Lillian Anne Richardson on December 16, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Lambert J. (Randy) Brown, Jr.,of Stephenson, VA, Terry Hickerson, and his wife Evelyn, Bunker Hill, WV ; his three daughters, Sherrie Slatner, her husband, Mike, of Glen Allen VA, Mindy Brown , of Stephens City and Bridgette Raigner of White Post; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Lambert was preceded in death by two sisters, Elma Coon and Cora Gagnebin.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Stephens City United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Schoeman officiating. Pall bearers will be Jim Golladay, Charlie Harmon, Michael Short, Lou Boyer, Randy Brown, and Mike Slatner. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park
