Mary E. Curtis, 86, of Berryville, died Monday, June 4, 2018.
Mrs. Curtis was born December 21, 1931; the daughter of the late William L. Shifflett and Gladys Taylor Shifflett. She retired as a nursing assistant with The Baptist Home in Culpeper, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband James Robert "Bob" Curtis.
She is survived by her children, Gladys Gibson, James Tarmon, Kenny Tarmon, and Greg Tarmon; her step children, Eugene Kirby and Amelia Marrow; her sisters, Shirley Blevins, Shelby Hogan, Hazel VanWyen, and Gloria Truslow. She was preceded in death by children, Donna Tarmon, Patricia Corbin, and Michael Tarmon; a step daughter, Barbara Curtis; a brother, Charles Shifflett; and a sister, Ellen Shifflett.
A funeral service will be held on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Rev. Kenneth K. Patrick officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday following the service until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
