Obituary for Nancy Dellinger Jones
Nancy D. Jones, 83, of Winchester, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Jones was born December 13, 1934 in Winchester; the daughter of Roy L. and Kathaleen Clark Dellinger. She retired as a bookkeeper for Miller’s Hardware. She was a member of Montague United Methodist Church, Apple Valley Squares, and the Senior Citizens Bowling League.
She married Herschell E. Jones on October 2, 1954. Mr. Jones preceded her in death on February 17, 2009.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Jones Murphy and her husband Dennis of Winchester; a sister, Anna Dellinger Lowery of Winchester; one grandson, Matthew Boyce; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Madelyn and Natalie Boyce, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Montague United Methodist Church Building Fund, 102 Montague Ave., Winchester, VA 22601.
