Betty J. Robinson, 81, formerly of Winchester, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Clarksville, TN.

Mrs. Robinson was born May 8, 1937 in Rio, WV; the daughter of the late Robert Russell Grove and Ursuline Evans Grove. She retired in 2000 from Shenandoah University. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Aerie 824 and VFW Post 2123.

She married Freddie A. Robinson on February 17, 1990 in Winchester. Mr. Robinson preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Alicia LaFollette and her husband, Roland of Highview, WV, Roger Clark and his wife, Alicia of Adams, TN; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Clark, Derek Clark, Bryan LaFollette, and Amy LaFollette. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Russell Grove, Jr.

Betty will also be missed/remembered by John McConnell of Clarksville, TN, a man she fell in love with, and who loved her, during her time in Tennessee.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., July 1, 2018, at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Alanna Mcguinn officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
