Obituary for Godfrey Paul "Paul" Nichols

Godfrey “Paul” Nichols, 82, of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully in his home, Friday, September 7, 2018.

Mr. Nichols was born January 14, 1936 in Winchester, VA; the son of the late Wheeler and Gertude Tusing Nichols. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a past member of the Winchester Moose Lodge and a member of Stephens City United Methodist Church. He worked at Estes Express Lines for 35 years until he retired.

He married Pauline Ellen Smith, March 7, 1959 in Stephens City.

Along with his wife Pauline, he leaves behind his daughter, Brenda Marco (Andy) of Winchester; sons, Jeffrey Nichols of Winchester and Timothy Nichols (Jennifer) of Stephens City; grandchildren, Bryan Marco (Heather), Bradley Marco (Laura), Tiffany Kessinger (TJ) and Daniel Nichols (Macina) and eight great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Baker and brothers, Leo Nichols, Eddie Nichols, Theodore Nichols and Clifford Nichols.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, September 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Robert Schoeman officiating.
