Obituary for Earl Edward Largent
Earl E. “Buddy” Largent, 86, of Stephens City, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
Mr. Largent was born September 19, 1932 in Whitacre, VA; the son of the late Edward Largent and Mildred Gardner Largent Newlin. He was a 1952 graduate of James Wood High School. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1991 from Abex as a maintenance mechanic.
He is survived by his children, Sherry A. Heltzel of Stephens City and Steve M. Largent of Winchester; a sister, Barbara Anderson of Arizona; a brother, James Largent of Berkeley Springs, WV; two grandchildren, Brad Symons and Tracy Flores; four step grandchildren, Candice Guy, Michael Timbrook, Karen Dillow, and Stacy Feaster; and eighteen great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
