Obituary for Richard Henry "Dick" Lake
Richard Henry Lake, 89, of Winchester, VA passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Blue Ridge Hospice In Patient Care Center.
Richard was born on February 12, 1929 in Winchester, VA; the son of the late Maurice and Elizabeth Cain Lake. He served his country in the US Army. Richard worked at Safeway for 37 years. He was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.
Richard married Betty Sue Fleming, October 27, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD.
Along with his wife he is survived by his daughters, Brenda Lynn Fulk (Bill) of Winchester, and Sandra Paige Listopad (Joseph) of Springfield, VA; four grandchildren, and sisters, Alice Lake and Shirley Hinson (Elton) both of Winchester.
He is preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Philip W. Sommer officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior at noon. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
