Obituary for Kenneth William Taylor

Kenneth William  Taylor
Kenneth W. Taylor, Sr., Master Sergeant, USAF, Retired, 89, of Middletown, left us for a better world on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
Mr. Taylor was born April 26, 1926 in Winchester; the son of the late Arthur W. Taylor and Ethel L. Luttrell Taylor. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II from 1944 to 1946 and in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1969 retiring after 22 years of service.
He was a 1944 graduate of Gainesboro High School. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and VFW Post 2123. He loved to fish and hunt squirrels and tend to his yard.
He married Claudine Jacqueline Anderson on February 2, 1955 in Hagerstown, MD.
He leaves behind to carry on, his beloved and devoted wife of 60 years, Claudine Jacqueline Anderson Taylor; his children, Kenneth W. Taylor, Jr. and wife Wendy of Newport News, VA and Jean Taylor Ruggiero and husband Ralph of Fredericksburg, VA; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Wagner and husband Michael, Robert Taylor, Harrison Taylor, Ralph Ruggiero, Jr.; three great grandchildren, Alexis Wagner, Katelyn Wagner and Tyler Wagner; a sister, Ellen Patton of Winter Park, FL; four brothers, Donald Taylor of Clear Brook, John Taylor of Cross Junction, Arthur Taylor of Texas and James Taylor of Cross Junction, numerous nieces and nephews and loving family members. He is also survived by two really great neighbors, Sharon Hastings and Cindy Stickley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles J. Taylor.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at Jones Funeral Home in Stephens City with Rev. Susan Garrett officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
