Obituary for Patricia Fahnestock Turner

Patricia Fahnestock  Turner
Patricia Fahnestock Turner, 73, of Stephens City, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Mrs. Turner was born July 20, 1942 in Winchester; the daughter of the late Paul Harley Fahnestock and Nettie Frances Robinson Fahnestock.
Pat graduated from John Handley High School in 1960 and began in that year as secretary at John Kerr Elementary School. She continued in her career as secretary at Quarles Elementary School, and at Winchester Schools central office. She retired in 2002. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. There she met Paul William Turner and they were married in 1960.
Pat volunteered at the Free Medical Clinic in Winchester. She was very creative and was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and her constant companion Lucy, the Yorkie.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons, Anthony P. “Tony” Turner of Richmond, VA and Andrew R. Turner of Stephens City; seven grandchildren, Ivey Elisabeth, Christofer Paul, Sarah Kate, Emily Grace, Nicholas Grant, Madison Olivia and Andrew Chase; an Aunt, Jean Wisecarver; and her cousins.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clarence Davis and Rev. J. Floyd Wine officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
