Mary Ann “Mag” Garth, 83, of Winchester, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at her home.
Miss Garth was born May 26, 1933 in Alexandria, VA; the daughter of Lee Burnley Garth and Lottie Dickerson Garth. She retired in 1982 as a microbiologist with The Food and Drug Administration. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her niece, Cheryl G. Cooke and her husband, Stephen of Madison Heights, VA and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Anderson Garth.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
