Obituary for Robert Burless Bryant
Robert Burless Bryant, 64, of Martinsburg, WV went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 27, 2019.
Robert was born February 23, 1954 in Washington, D.C.; the son of Robert D. and Lillie M. Bryant.
He served with the US Army from 1973-1985 and worked for the United States Postal Service in Aurora, CO until his retirement in 2005.
Robert was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed being in church with his family and friends. When he couldn’t make it to church he loved watching Joel on TV.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Bryant of Aurora; grandson, Brandon of Co., his companion and true friend, his dog, Chico; sisters, Linda Plant of Martinsburg, Lila Helsley of Winchester, VA, Loretta Bryant Kline and Letha Smith both of Manassas, VA; a brother, George Langford of Stafford, VA; two God daughters, Serenity and Annabelle Settle, and six nephews and nieces he loved and adored.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Daniel Bryant, and three brothers, Eugene Snyder, Roy Langford, and John Langford.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Pastor Michel Mayton officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Memorial Cemetery.
