Obituary for Donald Duane Graff
Donald Duane Graff, 83, of Winchester, VA, went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born December 27, 1934 in Mitchell, SD; the son of the late Duane Cecil Graff, Lorraine Sackett Mahoney and second mother Elizabeth Hornak Graff. He was a graduate of UCLA where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the Federal Highway Administration until his retirement in 1996. Donald was a member of Relief United Methodist Church. He was active in the church choir and the Apple Capital Chorus.
He married Patricia Rose Wimmer, July 7, 1956 in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death, January 6, 2014.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Jill Kim Aintablian (Hrach) of Winchester; sons, David Donald Graff (Margaret) of Trenton, MI, Daniel Peter Graff of Henrico, VA, and Derek Allen Graff (Kimberly) of Leesburg, VA; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Graff; his brother, Roger Graff and his daughter in law, Marybeth Graff.
Donald loved children and gave generously to many charities that benefited children all over the world. He was a very kind and gentle man who showed his love every day and loved to give hugs.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in January.
