The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Sowers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: David was a special person people & animals were drawn to. His deep love for the area he grew up in came to life when he recounted some of his finds relic hunting. He had a knack. Still astounded he sat under a tree & found a 200 year old coin beside him. May peace surround Ann, Michael, and, Patrick. RIP David. Somehow I bet even the baby turkey buzzards still follow the man they trusted.

Condolence: Our thoughts are with you all during this time. It's so hard to lose a loved one.

One of my memories of Dave was when a skunk sprayed our dog. I called Dave for the recipe of magic ingredients to de-stink her. The next year for Christmas, Dave and Ann gave us a skunk dog toy. The thought still makes me smile.

Condolence: To Dave’s wife and family. I went to school with Dave and played football with him. I graduated a year before him, but during our football time together Dave and I became very good friends. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was a true gentleman and well respected and liked by everyone in school. I will always remember his smile and easy going attitude. Rip my friend.
