Obituary for David P. Sowers
David Patrick Sowers, 68, of Berryville, Virginia, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his home. Born on March 17, 1950, David is the son of the late Frank C. Sowers and the late Rosemary Smith Turner.
David married Ann Plunkett Sowers in Leesburg, Virginia, in 1974. He retired from Verizon in Kernstown, Virginia, after 37 years of service and then worked for Shentel in Edinburg, Virginia, for two years. He served in the National Guard for seven years.
Surviving with his wife are two sons Michael Sowers and his wife Karen of Round Hill, Virginia and Patrick Sowers and his wife Lauren of Lake Frederick, Virginia, and three grandsons Gabriel, Finnian, and Courtland.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Steve Melester officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester, VA.
