Ronald Hugh  Miller
Ronald Hugh Miller, 80, of Winchester, died Friday, August 17, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.
Ron was born November 21, 1937 in Frederick Co., VA, the son of the late Walter Clyde Miller and Marjorie Lee Hoover Miller. He graduated from James Wood High School in 1956 and attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
He was a self-employed contractor until his retirement in 2000.
Ron was an active member of the First Christian Church in Winchester, where he served as an Elder Emeritus.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Caraway Fisher Miller, his children: Jeffrey R. Miller (Debra) of Glen Dale, WV, Kathryn C. Mitchell (Robert) of Winchester, Lisa P. Aumiller of Dillsburg, PA, and Michael H. Miller (Susan) of Winchester; a brother, R. Neil Miller, of Winchester; and six grandchildren: Ryan, Benjamin, Lyndsay, Nicholas, Ian, and Jackson. He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Mary Lee Winans and Marilyn L. Hensley, and a brother, W. Wayne Miller.
There will be a visitation at First Christian Church on Monday, August 20, from 5:00-7:00 PM, and on Tuesday, August 21, from 10:00-11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held at the church on Tuesday, August 21, at 11:00 AM. A luncheon reception will follow the service at the church.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Winchester Medical Center for their many years of compassionate care and treatment that they provided to our husband, father, and grandfather.
