Charlotte Jeraldine Snapp, 89, of Front Royal, Virginia, died Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Fauquier Health and Rehabilitation Center, Front Royal, VA.
She was born February 16, 1929 in Shenandoah County, VA, the daughter of Ernest J. and Mary E. Hottel. She was a member of The Church of the Nazarene in Front Royal, a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years, did crafts for vacation bible school and a member of The Shenandoah Germanic Heritage Museum. Charlotte owned Stephenson Ceramic Gift and Craft Shop for many years.
She married Louis “Pete” Henry Snapp, August 18, 1947 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death March 25, 2004.
Mrs. Snapp is survived by two daughters: Brenda F. Day and husband, Dwayne, of Front Royal, VA, and Cristina Snapp Violette of Winchester, VA, four grandchildren, Patricia Hunt, Jeremy Day, Denise Schurtz, Dalton Kerns, and seven great grandchildren: Clint DeHaven, Amber DeHaven, Samantha Hunt, Christopher Hunt, Peyton Schurtz, Reese Schurtz, and Mya Day.
Along with her husband Louis Henry, she is preceded in death by two children: Lewis “Dickie” E. Snapp and Phyllis “Jeanie” Snapp, a grandchild, Michael Snapp and a brother Leonard Hottle.
The family will receive friends Friday August 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester, VA. A funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Guizar and Pastor Tim West officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery, pallbearers will be Jason Schurtz, Michael Hunt, Clint DeHaven, Jeremy Day, Christopher Hunt, and Dalton Kerns. Honorary pallbearers will be Patricia Hunt, Denise Schurtz, Amber DeHaven, and Samantha Hunt.
