Velma R. Moreland, 82, of Winchester, died Monday, August 6, 2018.
Mrs. Moreland was born October 5, 1935 in Hampshire County, WV; the daughter of the late Lewis M. “Slater” Roberson and Elsie Haines Roberson. She had worked at National Fruit Product Co. and ZeroPak.
She married Russell W. Moreland on April 14, 1955 in Cumberland, MD.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Barbara M. Whittington of Winchester, Richard W. Moreland of Winchester and Rhonda M. Knight of Stephens City; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Mary Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
