Charles J. Carter, 87, of Winchester, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
Mr. Carter was born August 15, 1931 in Clarke County, VA; the son of the late Edward Carter and Easter Morris Carter.
He is survived by his children, Vincent Carter of Stephens City and Lynn Carter of Winchester, Irene Yvette Perry of Washington, DC, Lucille Yvonne Travers of Maryland and Gretchen Maria Roberts of Newport News, VA; one brother, John Carter of Connecticut; a sister, Rebecca Watts of New York; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jimmie Dokes presiding at the Charles “Buster” Jackson Community Cemetery, 14400 Lord Fairfax Highway, White Post, VA.
