Evelyn M. Carter, 86, of Winchester, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2018.
Mrs. Carter was born September 10, 1931 in Fredericksburg, VA; the daughter of Arthur and Irene Hill Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Carter of Winchester; two sons, Vincent Carter of Stephens City and Lynn Carter of Winchester; three daughters, Irene Yvette Perry of Washington, DC, Lucille Travers of Maryland and Gretchen Maria Roberts of Newport News, VA; a sister, Janet Brooks of Washington, DC; a brother Sonny Lewis of York, PA; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Charles “Buster” Jackson Community Cemetery, 14400 Lord Fairfax Highway, White Post, VA.
