Alfred Ming Yee of Frederick County passed away on July 24, 2018 in Winchester Medical Center at the age of 83. Born on April 2, 1935 in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Evelyn King Yee and Jew Yam Yee. Alfred retired from the National Geographic Society as manager of the Society’s Custom Photographic laboratory. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen Gardner Yee, his children Linda Brantner, Keiko Abadi, Kenji Yee, and William Wilson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother Kenneth; sister-in-law Carole; and a host of other relatives and friends. Alfred was a military veteran and will be buried with his late son, James, at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
