Obituary for Donald Stewart "Donnie" Cline
Donald S. Cline, 89, of Clear Brook, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Cline was born April 20, 1929 in Clear Brook, VA; the son of the late Henry B. Cline and Virginia Miller Cline. He served in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. He retired from the US Postal Service in April 1991 and from the Clear Brook Welcome Center in November 2016.
He was a former member of the Lewis M. Allen Riding Club, Cotillion Dance Club, Elks Lodge 867 and was past President and board member of the Rural Letter Carriers from 1971-1977. He was a member of Clear Brook Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his sister, Sara C. “Betty” Affleck of Winchester. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry M. Cline.
Services will be private.
In honoring Donnie’s wishes, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or to Esther Boyd Animal Shelter, 161 Fort Collier Road, Winchester, VA 22603.
