Obituary for Mildred Garber Magaha

MILDRED G. MAGAHA
Sister Magaha - Ashley went to meet the Lord on May 27, 2018 at her home in Eldorado, Maryland after a long illness.

She was born to Charles E and Nora L Garber in December 1925 in Winchester, Virginia.

She graduated from Strayer Finishing School and in early to mid forties she worked for the Grove Furniture Store, the Army Recruiting Office during the war and worked in Publicity and Promotion for the Apple Blossom Festival. She proudly served as a homemaker raising three children.

She celebrated 54 years of marriage to "Bill" Magaha who went on to meet the Lord in 1998. They had three children, Bill (Judy), Nora and Robin (Matthew). They had four grandchildren and two great-grand children.

She later celebrated 11 years of marriage to Ron Ashley who went on to meet the Lord in 2016. She leaves behind four step-children and many step grandchildren and great grand children.

She is also survived by two sisters, many nieces and nephews. Her eight brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

A service for the family will be held on Friday. Interrment will be at Shenandoah Memorial Gardens.Arrangements have been handled by Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD and locally by Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

She would smile whenever she met someone and truly had the love of the Lord in her heart. She was a light for whomever she met and a true believer of Christ. Whenever some would speak of her suffering she would simply respond, not as much as Jesus did!

In lieu of flowers donation may be given to your place of worship in memory of her or to Coastal Hospice & Palliative Care, P O Box 1713, Salisbury, Maryland 21802-1733.
