She was born August 18, 1925 in Troy, Alabama, the daughter of John Alfred and Verna Spears Broxson. She earned her Bachelor degree from Auburn University. Frances married Raymond Lloyd Fowler January 28, 1945 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
She retired from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management as an Employee Development Specialist. She also did volunteer literacy tutoring and was active in her local church.
In retirement, Frances travelled the world, reaching all seven continents and sharing the journeys with her family. Recently, she mentioned her favorite trip was to Antarctica. Frances’s “crazy trips”, as she called them, included Nepal, Tanzania, Morocco, Bhutan, Burma, Australia, and Israel. Showing her family the world was a life gift she left.

Mrs. Fowler is predeceased by a sister, Mildred Gillis and a brother, John Broxson.
