Obituary for Julian Evoid Brown Jr.
Julian Evoid Brown Jr., age 70 of Stephens City, Virginia went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 23, 2018 around 3:45pm.
Julian Evoid Brown Jr., was born March 18, 1947 in Clear Brook, Virginia to the late Julian Evoid Brown, Sr. and Olive Pricilla Johnson Brown.
Julian attended James Wood High School where he was the first African American to graduate from the school during segregated times. He spent the next forty years of his life working for Abex Corporation, where he received several awards and accolades for outstanding service. He was a member of the Federal-Mogul Corporation Friction Products Group and Local Union 149.
Julian is survived by Sisters: Joyce Green (late Charles) of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Julia Curry of Front Royal, Virginia, Sandra Weaver of Bowie, Maryland, Pam Finley (Taylor) of Stephens City, Virginia, Brenda Curry (Anthony) of Stephens City, Virginia, Victoria Harper (Derrick) of Winchester, Virginia; Best Friends: Dennis Anderson (Karen) of Stephens City, Virginia and Clifton Anderson (Diana) of Stephens City, Virginia. Julian’s brother Cornel Jerome Brown (Faye), predeceased him on September 9, 2017. Julian also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service are being held on Saturday March 3, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home located at 228 S. Pleasant Valley Rd., Winchester, VA. Viewing for family and friends will begin at 10:00 with services starting at 11:00. Bishop Shelton Conway will be officiating.
