Andrew A. “Sonny” Higgs, 82, of Winchester, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Higgs was born October 27, 1935 in Winchester; the son of Alvin A. Higgs and Gladys Kline Higgs. He had been a courier for Rotz Pharmacy. He was a member of Highland Memorial Presbyterian Church.
He married Arlene Moreland on September 5, 1964 in Winchester.
Along with his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his sons, Edwin Lee ”Eddie” Higgs, Ronald Andrew “Ronnie” Higgs and Scott Matthew Higgs all of Winchester; two sisters, Barbara Youngblood and Judy Orndorff both of Winchester; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Licklider.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Franks officiating.
