Obituary for Melvin Harvey "Jim" Frye Jr.
M. H. “Jim” Frye, Jr., 63, of Winchester, VA, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Jim was born February 19, 1954, in Winchester, VA, the son of Melvin and Lucille Milburn Frye. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Jim is survived by his wife Peggy; father “Jim”; son, James Frye of Winchester; daughter “Do” Chrissy Frye of Winchester; grandchildren Jennifer Cooper, Mike Brill and Xavier Frye; one great granddaughter, Kay-Ly Cooper and sister-in-law, Nancy Newlin of Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille Frye and his step mother, E. Pauline Frye.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. There will be a graveside service at Mount Hebron Cemetery December 20, 2017 at 11:00 with Pastor David Palmer officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Jim Frye may be made to the SPCA, 115 Featherbed Lane, Winchester, VA 22601.
