Phillip Aaron Willey, “Phil”, 62, of Star Tannery, VA, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at his home.

Phil was born July 18, 1955 in Hatboro, PA; the son of Sydney Ray and Virginia Belle Gardner Willey. He worked for Lear Corporation as a tool maker. Phil was a Boy Scout Leader during the early to mid-90’s.

Phil married Cheryl Denise Purtlebaugh, July 9, 2001 in Winchester, VA.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl; his mother Virginia; his son, Jason Willey and his wife Stephanie of Strasburg, VA; his daughter Michele Meyer and her husband Michael of Cross Junction, VA; his step daughter, Danielle Hicks and her husband Elijah of Winchester; his three grandchildren, Elana Willey, Brennon Willey and Ethan Hicks; his brother, Donald Patterson and his wife Kim of Florida and his two sisters, Pat Helton and her husband Bob of Arizona and Pam Swiger and her husband Walt of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his father Sydney.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester with Rev. Michael Mayton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
