Obituary for Leah Mae Brumback

Leah Mae  Brumback
Leah M. Brumback, 89, of Winchester, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Brumback was born March 16, 1928 in Winchester; the daughter of Karl Lee Copp and Nealie Gano Copp. She was a self-employed bookkeeper. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She taught an art class at Westminster Centerbury for over 20 years and was a member of the Winchester Garden Club.
She married J. William Brumback on June 6, 1948 in Santa Monica, CA.
Along with her husband of 69 years, she is survived by her children, Jebb Brumback of Blacksburg, VA, Lisa Brumback-Kooken of Frederica, DE and Stephen Brumback of Chapel Hill, NC; a brother, Karl Richard Copp of Stephens City; two sisters, Nancy Carol Kerns of Stephens City and Karen “Susie” White of Winchester; and four grandchildren, Madeline Brumback, Benjamin Brumback, Christopher Brumback, and Lily Brumback. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry “Sonny” Copp and a sister, Marion Wistrom.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Dan McCoig officiating. Burial will be private.
