George Harrison  Haymaker Jr.
George H. “Bud” Haymaker, Jr., 53, of Winchester, VA, died Monday, October 9, 2017 in Berryville, VA.
Mr. Haymaker was born March 20, 1964 in Winchester; the son of George H. Haymaker, Sr. and Mary Anne Higgs Haymaker. He was a 1982 graduate of James Wood High School.
Bud carried on the family tradition of brick, block and stone masonry. As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing making bird houses and feeding birds. He was a lifelong Redskins and Nascar fan which he enjoyed watching with his family each week. He spent each morning listening to Barry Lee on WINC 92.5 and loved sharing Barry’s fun facts and the morning mind bender.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his sisters Tina Haymaker Clem(Gary), and Rebecca Jayne “Becky” Haymaker; his brother Joseph C. Higgs (Nancy); nieces and nephews, Jacobe Higgs (Kelsey), Joshua Higgs, Tressa McMillan, and Zachary McMillan; beloved cousins and cherished friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12-1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Lock officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
