Obituary for Sandra Kay Barnes

Sandra Kay Barnes
Sandra K. Benner Barns, better known as “Bea” passed away on September 18, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
“Bea” was born on April 24, 1963 in Winchester, VA; the daughter of the late Ralph and Geraldine Benner of Clearbrook, VA.
Anyone that knew or loved Sandy, called her “Bea” and knew she was a very loving, giving, and helpful person.
She made her living babysitting family and friend’s children. Bea had a way with kids, and animals, that made them love being around her. She was a kind soul that cared for everyone she came in touch with. There was never a time that you visited her that you left hungry or thirsty. Whether it be a full meal or her famous cheese plates, or her morning egg sandwiches.
Bea always made sure you were taken care of and your children left spoiled. What money she made, usually was spent back on you and kids from the Saturday morning yard sale ritual that she so loved. Her caring loving heart was a strong as the love her family had for her.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Barnes of Stephenson, VA; her brother, Roger Benner Sr.; sisters, Tammy Benner of Stephenson and Cindy Benner of Clearbrook; nieces, Heather Minnick and Emily Benner of Stephenson, Kaila Benner and Jordan Minnick of Clearbrook; her bubby, Hunter Minnick; great nieces, Reese MacKensie, and Aubrey and great nephew, Brayden.
Bea is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Benner, Sr., David Benner, and Terry Benner.
The family will have a private ceremony at Paynes Chapel Church where she will be laid to rest with her loved ones.
