Johnnie Eudell Bartley, Sr., 95, of Winchester, VA passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Johnnie was born on August 2, 1922; the son of the late John and Geneva Virginia Bartley. He was a commercial painter, employed by Myers and Christiansen Painters with DC Local 890 Union. Johnnie served in the U.S Army at China-Burma-India Theater during WWII. He attended the Kernstown United Methodist Church.

He married Beryl Hornsby in Rockville, MD on March 1, 1958 at the Rockville United Methodist Church.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Johnnie E. Bartley, Jr, of Annandale, VA; his daughter, Johanna Terice Harris, of Winchester, VA; his son from a previous marriage, Charles Bartley, of Leesburg, VA.

He is preceded in death by his three sisters, and three children from a previous marriage.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Kernstown United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron W. Fitch officiating. Burial will be at National Memorial Park, in Falls Church, VA September 13, 2017at 3:00 p.m.
