Obituary for Paul Charles Wojcik

Paul Charles Wojcik
Paul Charles Wojcik, 63, of Stephenson, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Paul was born May 5, 1954 in Wilkinsburg, PA; the son of Edward and Doris Wojcik.

He retired from United Airlines where he worked as an aircraft mechanic and is remembered fondly by many of his coworkers. Previous to his career as an aircraft mechanic, he spent over a decade as a coal miner in Western Pennsylvania.

He was a member of the Country Roads Car Club, where he enjoyed showing his 1966 Sunbeam Tiger, which he owned and lovingly maintained since the age of 19. He appreciated all things mechanical, but especially antique cars. Many weekends were spent traveling to car shows with his wife to share his passion and expertise with other like-minded friends.

Family gatherings, travelling with his wife in their RV, and tinkering in the garage were all sources of joy in his life. His meticulous craftsmanship, stoic work ethic, and sense of humor were the foundation of the Wojcik family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife and partner of 45 years, Kathleen Wojcik; two sons, Daniel and Steven Wojcik; and his mother, Doris Wojcik. He also leaves behind three brothers, two daughters-in-law, many friends, and his first granddaughter, Emma Grace.

The family will receive friends on Thursday August 31, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A service will take place Friday September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Paul’s name may be made to UVA Health Center, P. O. Box 400331, Charlottesville, VA 22904
