Obituary for Shelly Lynn Walker (Dingus)
Shelly Lynn Walker, 44, of Stephens City, VA passed away on Saturday at Winchester Medical Center.
Shelly was born on February 18, 1973 in Portsmouth, OH; the daughter of Stillman Buck and Loretta Gifford Dingus of Okeechobee, FL. She was a 1991 graduate of Southfork High School, Stuart, FL. Shelly received her EMT training and was a volunteer Fire Firefighter in Indiantown, FL. After moving to Virginia she became a Girl Scout Troop Leader with troop #40492 and assisted with the Boy Scout Troop #107. Shelly drove a school bus for Frederick County Schools. One of her proudest accomplishments was the establishment of Frederick Rocks. She was a member of Stuart Church of Christ in Stuart, FL and currently attended Southside Church of Christ in Winchester, VA.
Shelly married Timothy Howard Walker, in Port Saint Lucie, FL in 1996.
Along with her parents and husband she is survived by her children, Aaron H. Walker, Leah G. Walker and Lily N. Walker all of Stephens City; brother, Walker Dingus and his wife Michelle of Okeechobee and sisters, Kelly Delago and her husband Gavino of Stuart and Mary Beth Dingus-Hayes and her husband Billy of Okeechobee.
She was preceded in death by her brother Bucky Dingus.
A memorial service will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Southside Church of Christ, 3136 Papermill Road, Winchester, VA 22601.
In lieu of flowers condolence cards may be sent to the family C/O Jones Funeral Home, 228 S. Pleasant Valley Road, Winchester, VA 22601.
