Obituary for Robert George "Bob" Ganse
Robert George “Bob” Ganse, 85, of Winchester, VA passed away on Monday evening at the Blue Ridge Hospice In - Patient Care Center.
He was born on March 30, 1932 in Lancaster, PA; the son of George William Ganse and Helen Mary Gochenour Myers. He was employed by Raub Supply Company for fifty – two years. He was a member of the Rotary Club, The Knights of Columbus and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
Bob married Marjorie Ann Reid Ganse on April 7, 1951 in Norristown, PA.
Along with his wife of sixty-six years, he is survived by his children, Robert Thomas Ganse (Barbara), Donald George Ganse (Cathy), David Wayne Ganse, Richard Eugene Ganse all of Winchester and Anne Melissa Ganse of Inwood, WV; brother, Daniel Ganse of Manheim, PA; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Ganse and a sister, Sr. Nancy Ganse.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, June 14, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
