Obituary for Martha W. Rees (Rees)
Martha Walker Rees, 93, of Winchester, VA, died Sunday May 14, 2017 at her home at Westminster Canterbury.
She was born January 21, 1924 in Grimes, VA; the daughter of John W. and Cornelia Dick Rees. Ms. Rees graduated from Handley HS, Class of 1942. She retired from a career in banking with Shenandoah National Bank. Martha attended Rest United Methodist Church. She was an avid traveler and a lifelong reader.
Martha is survived by her aunt, Jane Jolley of Winchester, and several cousins.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester and a graveside service will be held Monday, May 22, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Mt Hebron Cemetery with Rev. Larry Lawhon officiating
