Carlos Gilberto Leon of Stephen City, Virginia peacefully passed away on Thursday Morning April 27, 2017 in his home after a short battle with cancer.

Carlos was born on June 21, 1939 in Montecristi, Manabi, Ecuador to Bercelio Leon and Zoila Palacios Leon.

On October 31, 1959, he married Genith Maria Murillo in Manta, Manabi, Ecuador. He attended 2 years of undergraduate studies in Chemistry. With help from his friends and family, Carlos immigrated to Newark NJ in 1964; two years later he sent for his wife Genith & their 2 young sons, Carlos & Fredy.
Carlos retired as a chemical technician from Revlon Inc. In retirement, Carlos and Genith enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. Throughout his life Carlos enjoyed making wonderful memories with family and friends.
Carlos is survived by his wife Genith, his three sons Carlos Julio Leon and his wife Sandra and grandson David Julio, of Franklin Park NJ; Fredy Edwardo Leon and his wife Linda; and William Alfredo Leon and his wife Mayra and grandchildren, Marcus William, Daniel Nicolas, and Marisol Mayra of Stephen City VA.
