Evelyn Marie Bayliss, 86, of Winchester, VA passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Evelyn was born September 11, 1930 in Boyce, VA; the daughter of the late Robert and Marie Clark Peyton. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church and the Neighborhood Watch Program. She was a custodian with John Kerr School for many years.

Evelyn married Cecil Ray Bayliss, August 21, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD. He preceded her in death January 1, 1993.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Gary Bayliss and his wife Paula of Winchester; her sister Patricia Ann Coleman of Winchester; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and her caregiver, Kristy Bartholomew.

She is preceded in death by her son, Robert “Bobby” Bayliss and her sister Brenda Kay Peyton.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Dennis Bayliss officiating. Entombment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Justin Bayliss, Gary Bayliss, Nick Hartley, Tony, Jeff Unger and Larry Crim.
