Obituary for Floyd Franklin Painter Jr.
Buck was born Floyd Franklin Painter Jr. on April 8, 1953 to Floyd Franklin Sr. and Loraine Estelle (Fox) Painter in Winchester, VA.
Bucky attended James Wood High School and with an abundance of Common Sense and Cowboy Wisdom later in life became the Dean of "Painter University", based on his beloved farm.
He worked for the railroad for many years and then decided to start Painter Construction Company, employing up to ___ men at once for over 30 years. Buck and his crews worked from Virginia to Florida on a multitude of projects.
Bucky also enjoyed several years riding in the Professional Bullriding Circuit and was a nationally ranked competitor known not only for his record times on the bulls, but also for his witty demeanor and willingness to help out other riders.
Bucky was preceded in death by his sister Patty, an infant daughter Candy, and his father, Buck Sr
Buck followed his heart and later married the love of his life Ann Shull. Together they birthed and raised many horses, and often rode through the Virginia mountains and countryside. As a happy and fun couple Bucky and Miss Ann also rode their Harleys with friends, fished, jet skied, hunted and enjoyed sitting back with his countless friends and extended family.He was a man always willing to help his friends, be it hard work, patiently teaching youngsters a new skill, or being there as a supportive friend with sincere care and kindness. No matter the weather, time of night or distance, Buck was there.
Along with his wife he leaves behind his truly cherished sons Jonathan Pyles (Annette), Mark Webber (Sherry) Tyler Shull (Rachel) and importantly three grandchildren to continue the ride on the trail; Corey Pyles, Breana Waddell and Liam Shull.
